(ZOOM) Focus on Class Awards CPD Course (HK)


This 1 hour webinar focuses on the Class Award format, with the aim to provide RAD teachers with guidance regarding how to prepare and present their students for this type of assessment. By looking at what a Class Award is, what work is presented, and how marks are awarded, teachers will also gain a better understanding of when a Class Award might be an appropriate option for their students. A question and answer session will complete the webinar.

Participants will be required to switch on the camera during the seminar, excluding the break time. Recording in any format is prohibited. Each participant must hold his/her own ticker. one ticket grants one entry per person. Should you have teaching members from the same school who wish to join together in the same premises, please alert the RAD Hong Kong office (hello@radhk.org) in advance. The Royal Academy of Dance reserves the right to decline entry to this seminar room (via Zoom) in case of any disputes.

Ms Adeline Leong

RAD Examiner

Adeline Leong has been a dance teacher and educator for 31 years since graduating from the 3-year teacher training programme (LRAD) at the College of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD).  She currently finds joy in seeking continued knowledge and expertise through her studies on the RAD Master of Arts in Education (Dance Teaching) programme by questioning, reviewing, and reflecting on her own teaching practice in pursuit of developing relevant and original teaching ideas for today’s learners.

Adeline’s current appointment with the RAD Panel of Examiners and her role as a tutor for their Continued Professional Development and Teacher Training Programmes further contribute to her professional teaching and learning portfolio in dance education and training.  Previous roles include being the principal and director of her own dance school from 1996–2018 and having 12 years’ experience as a dance elective teacher to middle and high school students at a North American international school in Kuala Lumpur.
