Introducing RAD Online Exam Entries and Refresher CPD Course (HK)

The workshop will provide attendees with a full understanding of the RAD Online Exam Entries system. An explanation of the terminology used throughout the system will be provided. Users will learn how to navigate through the menus, and principles of data management including how to maintain school and student information, register new students, create, edit and revise exam entries, and view results online. It will be a practical activity: participants will log on and use the system to create and edit an entry, register students and edit their school and student data.

The aims of this workshop are to provide participants with:

  • a full understanding of the advantages of the RAD Online Exam Entries system
  • confidence in their use of the system, including the skills to:
    – register new students
    – create, edit and submit exam entries
    – manage and edit their school and student data
    – do some basic troubleshooting
  • greater exams management efficiency within their school
  • a full understanding of the RAD viewing platform, Planet eStream
  • case studies of good footage for filming exam
  • demonstration of digital payment on the RAD Online Exam Entries System


Learning Outcomes:

On completion of the workshop participants will be able to access and use the RAD Online Exam Entries system to:

  • manage school and student data
  • create and edit exam entries
  • register new students and edit their details
  • administer their exam entries successfully and efficiently

Recommended preparation:

Participants may wish to review the RAD Online Exam Entries Applicant Guidelines and the user journey videos (available via https://hk.royalacademyofdance.org/examination-forms-and-guidelines/) before attending the course.

Additional information:

Participants will need to bring their own laptop for logging into the test site. Tablets may be used but there will be reduced functionality and are not recommended.


Ms Caz Chew

Examinations Systems Manager (Examinations Department, Royal Academy of Dance, HQ London)

Caz has been dancing since the age of 3 and has been doing RAD exams throughout her life. She went on to train at Performers College and worked as a professional commercial dancer for a number of years.

Caz started working for the RAD in 2015 as the Dance School Manager at Headquarters in London. She moved into the role of Head of Training and worked with regional and international offices to deliver student activities and summer schools across the globe.

Caz is now working in the Examinations Department and supports colleagues, teachers and examiners across the world with Online Exam Entries. She is responsible for the Filmed Exams provision and manages the RAD exam systems on a daily basis.

Caz is delighted to visit Hong Kong and deliver the up and coming CPD course on our Online Exam Entries system. She cannot wait to meet our valued teachers and school administrators in Hong Kong.
